About 400 people marched through the Fremont Street Experience yelling chants of “Obama, escucha, estamos in la lucha,” which translates to “Obama, listen, we are in the fight;” “What do we want?”, “Immigration reform!”, “When do we want it?”, “Now!”; and “USA!”
Schofield Middle School hosted a Day of the Dead program where students were removed from classrooms by “Death” every 15 minutes throughout the day. The program is meant to discourage students from trying drugs and alcohol.
Students with disabilities in Clark County School District meet monthly to compete with other students in sports they usually would not be able to. They rode modified bicycles and tricycles this month. Other activities have included basketball, fencing, ice skating and more.

Book enthusiast Vicki Higgins carries a box of books back to her car Oct. 21, 2011, at Book Magician used bookstore. Higgins tried selling some of her hundreds of books because she’s run out of room to keep them at home.
